WEEK OF: March 11 - 15, 2019

a young student demonstrates her science fair project to the judges
Even our youngest students got involved in this year's Science Fair! One of our Kindergarten students demonstrates her experiment to the judges.

It’s that time of year again! Daylight savings time began at 3 AM on Sunday, March 10th - spring your clocks forward one hour. The days are finally getting longer and the warm spring sun has been making its appearance! Students are loving getting outside to play again! Our grade 3’s have been hard at work making leprechaun traps for St. Patrick’s Day next weekend!
A great big HIGH FIVE to all of our students who participated in this year’s Science Fair! There were some great projects, a lot of hard work went into those displays! Congratulations to our winners, they will be heading to the FVSD Divisional Science Fair this Thursday in Bluehills. A huge thank you goes out to FMCS staff and to all of our volunteer judges as well, we couldn’t have done it without your help!
We have a short week this week - on Tuesday the School Council (6:30 PM) and Friends of FloMac (7:30 PM) meetings will be held at the school, Ski Club practice resumes at 3:45 PM on Thursday with Friendship Playdates at 5:30 PM at the HLNFC. Friday there will be no school for all grades as staff do some of their own learning for PD Day.
