Stefanie Brown, Principal
Stefanie grew up in Red Deer but has called High Level home for the last twenty years. She landed her dream job as a Kindergarten teacher in her first year of teaching and since then has taught Grade 1, Balanced Literacy and was Assistant Principal at SNCS before becoming Principal of FMCS.
Even though many residents in the region are far from family and home towns, Stefanie appreciates the close-knit communities and the way everyone supports and looks out for one another.
“Each year starts with renewed excitement to work with the students of FMCS and discover what adventures are yet to come.”
Melanie Arcand, Assistant Principal
Hailing from the east coast, Melanie moved to High Level from Newfoundland in 2014. Looking for adventure, she took a teaching position with FVSD and taught English to Jr/Sr High students at RLNS. Melanie then became Assistant Principal at RLNS before moving to the Assistant Principal position at FMCS.
The natural beauty and spectacular scenery of our region has become one of her favorite things about living in the north.
“This year I am looking forward to spending more time getting to know the wonderful students and families at FMCS.”
